Classroom Instructor

Informed by the School’s mission, Classroom Driver’s Ed. Teachers will ensure that all students learn the content and skills required to develop citizens who will use the highway transportation system in a competent, safe, and responsible manner either as a driver, passenger, or pedestrian. The candidate must be dedicated to delivering the instruction necessary to ensure the successful completion of driver education and to equip the student with the defensive driving skills needed to navigate safely. Instructors will teach appropriate content and skills by utilizing curriculum material adopted by the school, as well as providing appropriate supplemental and teacher-made materials; incorporate appropriate alternate learning methods that accommodate the range of learning styles and needs of students in the classroom; create a learning environment that encourages positive social interaction, active engagement, and self-motivation; and, actively keep themselves upraised on improvement activities, instructional planning, and assessment development.

Mandatory Qualifications
Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field. Candidate must have teaching/classroom experience, strong classroom management skills, be innovative, organized, and have a high level of energy.

Desired Qualifications
Illinois teaching certification and/or Driver’s Ed certification a plus. Strength of academic background, professional experience, interview performance, and references will be considered during the selection process. Ideal candidate should also:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all students learn the content and skills required to be safe and defensive drivers
  • Ensure the successful completion of driver’s education
  • Make sure all necessary documents and paperwork is turned in by specified deadlines
  • Support the mission and vision of our organization and school
  • Begin class promptly at scheduled time and supervise any students enrolled in the Driver’s Ed. Program
  • Maintain a classroom that demonstrates discipline and order

Behind The Wheel Instructor

Plans and enforces individual and group curriculum and activities to stimulate students appropriate learning, while directing the lessons of other instructors.

Mandatory Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in field of course instruction or 5 years of related Teaching/Classroom experience, Excellent Driving Record, Must have computer skills, Bilingual a plus, but not required.

General Accountabilities

  • Trains instructors in the proper operation of school vehicles
  • Performs teacher/instructors duties as required
  • Conducts effective behind the wheel training programs for new drivers
  • Conducts investigations in cooperation with Fleet Department to determine causes of car accidents and to improve safety procedures.
  • Maintains records related to compliance with SOS regulations.
  • Plans and implements energy saving changes, such as reducing routes, optimizing capacities, employing alternate modes of transportation, or minimizing idling.
  • Serves as liaison between parents and program director.
  • Relays information and recommendations to program director.
  • Participates in orientation of new staff.
  • Identifies potential improvements and enhancements to program and
    recommends corresponding changes in procedure.
  • Gives feedback to program director regarding staff issues.
  • Identifies and recommends appropriate action for problem resolution.

 Assistant-Customer Service

Nova Driving School is seeking three (3) highly motivated and qualified Customer Service Representatives to join our team in Chicago
for our upcoming peak season. Candidates will serve as the primary point of contact for our students and clients, handling inquiries,
processing enrollments, and ensuring a seamless, welcoming experience. This role is crucial for maintaining high levels of client
satisfaction and supporting the daily efficiency of our front-facing operations during our highest volume months.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person walk-ins regarding driving lessons, scheduling, and pricing.
Update and maintain the school’s client database within the CRM system, ensuring that all contact information and service history
are up-to-date to facilitate effective follow-up with prospective students.
Assist students with the registration and enrollment process for various driving courses.
Identify opportunities to offer supplementary services to students—such as additional driving lesson packages, advanced defensive
driving courses, or license application assistance—during the enrollment process.
Maintain accurate records of student schedules, payments, and documentation.
Accurately process payments using the point-of-sale system, issue receipts, and perform end-of-day cash reconciliation in
accordance with company financial security protocols.
Address and resolve customer service issues or complaints in a professional, timely manner.
Proactively solicit feedback and reviews from students upon course completion, and relay suggestions or positive testimonials to
management to contribute to ongoing service quality improvements.
Support the office administration team with general clerical tasks to optimize workflow efficiency.

Credentials Needed

High School Diploma or GED
Basic Computer Literacy: Comfort using Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) or Google Workspace.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required (bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are a plus to support our local
community).
