  • If you are at fault in a crash and you do not have insurance coverage or another acceptable form of payment to pay for damage that you caused, you must meet the requirements of the Safety Responsibility Law. The law requires you to put up security (a guarantee of payment) to pay for the damage that you caused in the collision.
  • If you do not have insurance coverage or the required security, then your driver’s license might be suspended until the case is settled.
