Power Steering Failure

  • Power steering failure occurs when your power steering pump fails to pump fluid through your steering system.
  • Usually, you’ll still be able to steer, but it will take a great deal of effort to turn the wheel without power assist.
  • Cautiously drive the vehicle to a mechanic so that he or she can replace the power steering pump or any other component that contributed to the power-assist failure.
