- Turn on your headlights so that you can see the road ahead and identify hazards in your path of travel. All vehicles must have two headlights that must be on from sunset to sunrise as well as at times when rain, snow, fog, or other conditions require the use of windshield wipers.
- Drive more slowly than you would during the day. Driving at a slower speed gives you more time and space around hazards.
