New Laws:

  • Drivers are not allowed to use hand-held cell phones while operating a vehicle in Illinois. Drivers who are 19 years old and older are allowed to use a BlueTooth device in one ear, however. In addition, texting while driving is banned for all motorists, regardless of age. Drivers are allowed to use a hand-held cell phone to call 911 while driving to report an emergency situation.
