Traffic Signals: Arrows
In addition to steady and flashing lights, many roads feature illuminated arrows.
- Green Arrow:
- A green arrow means that you may turn in the direction of the arrow with caution after yielding to pedestrians and vehicles in the intersection.
- Red Arrow:
- If you see a red arrow, you are not allowed to turn in the direction of the arrow until a green arrow appears.
- However, after coming to a complete stop and yielding the right-of-way, you may make a right turn at a red arrow unless signs prohibit you from doing so.
- Yellow Arrow:
- A yellow arrow means that the green arrow is ending or that the light is about to turn red.
