Turn Signals
- Turn signals allow motorists to communicate their intentions to other road users.
- Courteous motorists always signal turns and lane changes in order to stay safe on the road.
- State law requires motorists to provide a continuous turn signal in business and residential areas at least 100 feet before the turn.
- In all other areas, including rural areas, interstate highways and expressways, a turn must be signaled at least 200 feet before turning.
