  • When you drive on a snow-covered road, your traction will be even worse than driving on a wet road. Slush, a mixture of snow and water, makes handling difficult. Driving on an icy road is especially dangerous, as well.

    Try to avoid driving during or after a winter storm. Instead, try to wait until road crews have plowed and salted the road.
