  • Your path of travel (POT) can become limited when you encounter:
    • other traffic, such as stopped cars in front of you
    • oncoming cars approaching from the opposite direction
    • bicyclists traveling along the shoulder.
  • Your path of travel can also be affected by:
    • parked cars
    • lane closures
    • emergency vehicles
    • school buses
    • railroad crossings
